Spiderman 2

Tagline: This summer a man will face his destiny. A hero will be revealed

I've been wanting to watch this movie from the time part one was finished. Wow, I must say that this was a terrific sequel. Finally a sequel that's worth talking about. If you've been reading up on the movie, you would see there are quite a few raves compared to the critisism. So let's get down to describing the movie.

The first thing that struck me was that Spiderman's costume seems to have been made nicer. It had a high quality tang to it. Well this is good for the screen, but according to the movie Peter Parker seems to be pretty broke, I wonder where he got the money to add that shine to the costume, but that's just being picky. The movie itself was about Peter finding out that his life can't revolve round being Spiderman and that he needs to get his priorities right and a whole load of action in between.

Well, the bad guy in this movie is Dr. Octopus or actually a guy whose got these 4 mechanical arms (very strong arms actually) permanentely attached to himself in an experiment that goes wrong (usual story). For those who don't get it, 4 mechanical + 4 normal limbs = 8 limbs, thus octopus. Well, since his first experiment goes wrong, he wants to get it right and thus goes around creating havoc and trying to get himself the equipment for a second experiment. That's when Spiderman comes in and tries to save the day. (notice the word "tries"). Things get tangled up and Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) and Harry Osborn (Green Goblin's son) get into the web and well, I think you should watch the movie for more details.

All in all, I recommend this movie if you want a bit of action + a bit of story + if you liked the previous installment + if you like to see Tobey Maguire twist his face a lot. I liked the CG of the movie although you can see the animation (remided me of the cartoon).

Rating? I'd give it a 7.5/10

I especially like the part where a car flips and crashes through a restaurant window ,where Peter Parker and Mary Jane are sitting, they fall to the floor, the car nearly crushes them ....and then Dr. Octopus approaches them ?!?! .
Well ...I know it is a bit too late to post this ...but had not seen this before .
Good going Tamim .
