Dodgeball

Tagline 1: A true underdog story.
Tagline 2: Grab life by the ball

In short, I liked this movie. But it was rather droky I must say. The movie was fun if you like silly jokes. Ben Stiller really goes to town in this movie and I think he is the main character in this movie. His character was the bad guy and does he make it look good.

Well, the story in short is this. The typical big organization trying to take over the smaller organization and making it a parking lot and giving the smaller organization a minimum amount of time to come up with a huge amount of money which is virtually impossible for the smaller organization to come up. (Wow that was a long sentence).

Anyway, Ben Stiller is the ultimate fitness guy. He was once fat and decided to become fit and kept to his diet/exercise (unlike us) and formed the Global Gym where his training soon became famous and he becomes rich and cocky. Soon you get the advertisements saying things like "We are better than you, and we know it".

Well, right opposite Global Gym is the Average Joes Gym who is owned by the expressionless Vince Vaughn , who caters to the rather downtrodden "I don't lose weight even if I try" type. He is given 30 days to find $50,000 to pay off his loan or he loses the gym. The guys who workout at the gym are quite a set of characters, but they all work out that they can only raise that money if they win the Dodgeball Tourament.

Well, Stiller joins the tournament too, with his musclebound players and of course the two teams end up in the finals and you get the usual story after that. The movie is good for quite a few laughs, and the performance by Stiller was excellent. I recommend this movie if you're bored, because there's not much you need to think about while watching it.
